Part IV of the 'Red Grouse Podcasts' is available to download now.
This
podcast features an exclusive interview with Geoff Eyre, the shooting
tenant on the National Trust's High Peak Estate, about the so-called
'Glorious 12th'. Geoff's role on the management of the moors is
complex; as well as renting out the land
for shooting, Geoff has also
been instrumental in developing ongoing projects to restore heather to
the moors, for which he has received an honorary doctorate in moorland
restoration ecology from Liverpool
University.
The podcasts, which are produced as part of a unique media
collaboration between Peak Experience and The National Trust, now
include an m4a version with embedded photos for display in iTunes.
